What are the responsibilities of a volunteer doula?
If you are a Volunteer Doula with the CDP, it is expected that you are actively working towards the completion of your Traditional Health Worker (THW) birth doula requirements. Within a year of contracting with the CDP, you must attend at least 3 births and 3 postpartum visits.
Attend eight (70%) of the CDP Hub-Up-To-Date meetings and four (33%) of the Birth Talk meetings each year. See this link for more information.
Please review your Volunteer Doula agreement, available in your CDP Google Drive Folder, for a more detailed description of your responsibilities.
The CDP has many resources and information available in our doula docs. This is a great place to go to learn more about being a CDP doula. It is also the first place to go if you have questions.
